Sun and Rain

The beginning of the Sun ; The ending of a shower.
The smell of fresh rain was comforting and vaguely familiar.
Suddenly, flashes of a young girl his age laughing appeared and his head started hurting again.

He saw himself pulling the girl towards him, and then proceeding to embrace her tightly.
They walked hand in hand, towards the playground swing and he pulled out a pen to write something on the beautiful swing. She seemed to be shining like the sun.
“A rainbow pen?!” the girl smiled, her eyes almost disappearing.
He sat on the wet grass and asked her not to look, grinning as he wrote on the swing.
She sneaked up behind him and hugged him.

Then everything went black.
His eyes glazed over as a hand waved over his face.
He remembered. He suddenly remembered everything.
He ran out of the room, out into the neighbourhood playground.
It was here, at the same spot he was sitting on. He bent down to see the spot that belonged to them, the spot that was proof of their love.

And he felt his heart crying out for the girl that was his light, his life, his love.
She was the only one he could see, and forever, the only one that put light in his life.
“Tiffy…” he whispered as his fingers swept over the rainbow coloured words, the carved words leaving a tingling sensation…
“Min?” He turned and saw the light.
